I have been going to Dr Schlemper for more than 20 years, even before he opened International Clinic. He always provides top level care that you can’t always find in Japan. He has an extensive knowledge of medicine and is fluent in several languages which makes it very easy and stress-free. Being a foreigner in Japan, sometimes the Japanese medicine is slow to work or sometimes doesn't work at all. The medicine he prescribes always works for me. The staff is also very friendly which makes it a pleasure to go to the doctor!

I went to International Clinic for the first time after being introduced by an acquaintance. Three days before I had been to another hospital for stomachache and the Japanese doctor had prescribed me medicines for 3 days, but it did not help. I was worried about my stomachache, so I asked a friend of mine which hospital would be good to go to for another check-up and luckily I met Dr. Ronald Schlemper. The doctor examined me very carefully, took a lot of time to understand where my illness originated from and gave me an effective treatment. I had less pain and was much better the next day and had completely recovered the day after that. The doctor had explained everything in an easy-to-understand way, my pain and anxiety turned into a wonderful feeling of relief!
I am so happy to have found a good hospital that I hope to continue using for a long time!

My partner and I visited this clinic whilst in Fukuoka, we were happy and satisfied with our experience here. My partner was very unwell with a cough, we had to wait outside to be seen by Dr. Schlemper which was good in keeping other people safe from his illness. The nurses and Dr. Schlemper were extremely helpful in seeing us without an appointment, we walked in and were seen quickly and given a script to pick up medication at the pharmacy next door. We are travelling from Australia so it was very helpful to be able to see a doctor that spoke English, would highly recommend this clinic and all of the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. It turns out that Dr. Schlemper is by far the most competent doctor I have ever met. He has helped me with issues that nobody else could diagnose. For a common cold, any doctor will do. But if you have a problem nobody else can solve, I recommend him.

Being sick overseas is always scary, I booked the first available appointment via Zoom for 6:30pm, but then received an email from the doctor offering to move the appointment to the morning so I would be able to access a pharmacy before they closed. A very easy yet thorough consult via Zoom and a prescription emailed to me within 30 mins. He then dealt with the pharmacy by phone, and by 10am I had my antibiotics! The fee is very reasonable, the whole experience made a bad situation just that much better. Thank you so much!

So no luck but found that International Clinic was having online ZOOM consultation on 23rd and Dr. Schlemper even get the medication from a Pharmacy store next door (closed on holiday) for me to pick up. Definitely my angel from God. Otherwise I would have to wait till 25th.
An Australian travelling in Japan, I was crippled by a gout flare. Dr Schlemper gave me a tele-health appointment late on a Sunday afternoon and was amazingly helpful, arranging medication from a Pharmacy in my location and personally liaising with the pharmacist.After all that, his charge was less than I would pay my own doctor in Australia.
Highly recommend to anyone traveling in Japan. I was so thankful to Dr. Ronald for helping me out while on my trip in Japan. I was in desperate need of antibiotics and with a video call I was able to get what I needed and continue on with my holiday. It was easy to book the call and pick up my medicine.
